Oversized anchor transport operation from the Netherlands to Accra

Navitrans successfully led an oversized anchor transport operation, managing the delivery of four 2-ton anchors from the Netherlands to Accra, Ghana, via its Roissy hub.

From the outset, Navitrans managed every aspect of the operation with meticulous care and coordination. The anchors—each measuring approximately 2.48 meters in width and 3 meters in length—required specialized handling due to their weight and dimensions. The team began by selecting and mobilizing appropriate heavy-duty transport vehicles, ensuring safe and secure transit from the point of origin in the Netherlands to the Roissy logistics hub, located near Paris.

Upon arrival at Roissy, Navitrans undertook a crucial stage of the process: repackaging the cargo to meet the requirements of international air freight. Each anchor was carefully repacked in crated in custom-designed, reinforced wooden boxes engineered to protect the equipment from damage during air transit. This step was essential to ensure both safety and compliance with air cargo regulations during the air shipment to Accra.

The operation met all technical and timing requirements, from departure to final delivery.

This oversized anchor transport operation confirms Navitrans’ strength in handling complex, heavy shipments with full door-to-door control and precision.
