Celebrating Children’s Day in Mozambique
On 1 June, Mozambique celebrates Children’s Day, a special occasion dedicated to recognizing children, promoting their rights, and raising awareness of their well-being and development.
This year, IFS was proud to support a Children’s Day celebration organized by KMAD (Kenmare Moma Development Association), helping to bring joy to children in the local community. As part of our contribution, our talented pastry team prepared and donated a giant celebration cake, while IFS also sponsored sweets, juices, and other treats. Together, these donations helped create 350 gift packs for the children.
The Kenmare Moma Development Association (KMAD) is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 2004 to implement social development programs in the Moma Mine’s host communities.
Events such as these play an important role in creating positive environments where children can feel valued, supported, and inspired. By investing in our communities and supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference, we continue to live our commitment to creating lasting impact beyond the workplace.
A sincere thank you to KMAD and everyone involved in making the day a success. Together, we helped create special memories for the children and reinforced the importance of nurturing the next generation.
