BBG Completes First U.S. TRANSCOM S&RTS Operation in Indonesia
A milestone operation marked the launch of BBG’s stevedoring activities in the Indo-Pacific
Black Bull Group successfully completed its first operation under the U.S. Government Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS) contract in Indonesia, marking another important milestone in BBG’s continued expansion of its support to U.S. military operations worldwide.
The operation commenced on 9 August 2026 in Lampung, Indonesia, with an impressive first movement: the discharge of a U.S. military helicopter from the vessel.
The mission extended far beyond conventional stevedoring. BBG coordinated vessel discharge, container and breakbulk handling, staging-area management, onward truck loading, material handling equipment, manpower, safety oversight and operational infrastructure.
At peak activity, BBG mobilised 54 stevedores organised into seven gangs, supported by foremen, tally personnel, operational management and dedicated safety officers. The shore-side operation included a 13,825 m² buffer storage area and a dedicated 5,000 m² helicopter area.
To maintain the required operational tempo, BBG teams conducted activities from as early as 02:00 hrs, loading up to 21 trucks per day for onward military transportation while vessel discharge operations continued in parallel.
The successful execution of this first mission represented an important step in BBG’s diversification into complex military cargo and terminal operations and further strengthened the Group’s growing presence in the Indo-Pacific region.
The discharge of that first helicopter captured the significance of the moment perfectly: BBG’s first operation under its new U.S. TRANSCOM S&RTS contract in Indonesia and another milestone in our support to the U.S. military worldwide.
